Аннотация Monosaccharide contents of an animal rhabdovirus, vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV), and two plant-infecting rhabdoviruses – curly potato dwarf virus (CPDV) and spot sweetflag virus (SSV) have been studied. Comparing monosaccharide contents of these three viruses, common monosaccharides – glucose, mannose, galactose, arabinose, and fucose have been found. The dominant monosaccharides of both CPDV and VSV are glucose and mannose (35.2 % and 23.8 % for the first virus and 21 % and 58.5%, respectively, for the second one); the SSV contains high percents of glucose and galactose (25.3 % and 18.3%, respectively). Contrary to the VSV, both CPDV and SSV contain rhamnose (9.7% and 3.1%, respectively).
